Don’t make resolutions that you won’t keep! Here are the New Year’s resolutions we would love you to make instead.
Some simple yet powerful life changes to make in 2019 that will have a big impact on your health include:
- Eat More – eat more of the good stuff. Cut out the inflammatory foods in your diet that are serving you no purpose. Include more prebiotic foods like miso, sauerkraut and apple cider vinegar. Make this the year to get your gut health sorted;
- Sleep – we all know how important our sleep is to our energy, mood and weight. Make a conscious effort to get to bed earlier and adopt some good sleep hygiene habits like turning your phone off or putting it onto flight mode to reduce blue light that can negatively affect our sleep hormone levels;
- Mindfulness – this can come in many ways from learning a new meditation technique to just clearing your mind once a day and leaving yourself some much-needed space. The resulting uplift in your mood and any feelings of anxiety will be hugely improved;
- Lose weight – if you really need to lose some weight, that is. Achieving your healthiest weight can bring about so many benefits to your health and self esteem. Focus on a clean eating plan and increasing your incidental exercise.
